CSP 036: Helping Foster Kids. CASA w/ Caesar & Maggie | Crooked Spine Show

C.A.S.A. stands for Court Appointed Special Advocates.  From their website: “Volunteer advocates—empowered directly by the courts—offer judges the critical information they need to ensure that each child’s rights and needs are being attended to while in foster care.  Volunteers become the voice for their appointed child.  For many of our foster children, a C.A.S.A. volunteer is the only constant adult presence in their lives that is inspiring them, challenging them and motivating them as they navigate through the child welfare system together, hand in hand.”

Here are the details and frequent Q/A.

Watch the Full Video Now

In 2018 we started to put out videos of our patients getting adjusted.

This is the secret of how we improve people’s health: relieve pain, headaches, nerve pain, weakness without medications or surgery.

After pain is relieved, the adjustment helps your nerves relax.  Then your muscles and joints can relax.

Next we start stretching and strength exercises through our posture videos. This gets your body to tolerate more stress in your daily lives.

In the end, the adjustment helps get your body get back to being relaxed and strong. By keeping up the exercise habits, you can stay healthy.

Back pain is more common than the common cold. It can worsen to leg pain or back weakness.  Lowering your quality of life.  If you choose to stop taking the medications or the shot, then what do you need to do? Your local chiropractic can help. Start stretching, then strengthening when your ready. Here is how.

Highlights (podcast times):

(0:50) Stretch, flexibility first.

(4:30) Lying down stretch; straight, inside, out.

(8:30) How far to stretch.

(9:45) Sitting up stretch. For strength w/ breathing.

(18:00) Why we should build back strength.

(21:15) Setting your standing posture. -video

(27:10) How to train balance.

These exercises for flexibility and strength should ONLY be performed if you have been cleared of bone fractures, spinal disc conditions and other problems that can worsen your body with exercise. Starting exercises slowly can make your body uncomfortable and sore.  Then build up a routine to help improve your strength.  This stops the pain from returning and improves our body’s ability to handle more stress (good or bad).
