The Wellness Doctor’s (Chiropractic or Medical) approach believes the body has an ability to self-heal through nutrition, exercise and restoring a healthy nervous system.

The examination looks at the whole health of the person and any secondary issues such as leg pain and foot pain.  During the exam the Chiropractor will also check posture, the normal standing position of the body.

The x-rays are gold standard for Chiropractors.  X-rays are used to rule-out fractures and tumors.  Also x-rays help clarify alignment of the spine, disc abnormalities and arthritis.

The first approach to treatment will be to reduce pain and other symptoms by restoring joint motion through Chiropractic Adjustments. This will allow reduce the Sympathetic Response that continues to elevate stress hormones and suppress serotonin.  Then the body can heal naturally without the use of drugs which mask pain and slow healing.

What is a Chiropractic Adjustment?

The Sympathetic Response Explained

Once motion is restored and pain is reduced, the patient can start to stretch the low back and surrounding muscles. This will continue to promote joint healing and reduce inflammation.

Next, specific low back exercises can be implemented during continued adjustments. This allows the low back/lumbar spine and surrounding muscles to work together toward a better posture.
