When a person comes into our office is severe pain (9-10 on a 1 to 10 pain scale) in the last few days, a chiropractic adjustment make not be effective to help short-term relief.
Based on my experience, we need to help people get their pain level at a 6 or below to help with an adjustment, stretching or physical therapy modalities.
The problem is people are told by their doctors to stay on medication for weeks and months and sometimes years with fixing a person’s problem.
With chiropractic we can find the root of the problem AND get a person to feel better and get a better state of health. We want people feeling strong and relaxed. Then a person can tolerate their stresses of daily life.

As people, it is easy to generalize about a generation. The generalization of the present late teens and 20 year olds is WRONG. Let me justify this statement.
There is no doubt our world, school and homes have and will continue to be more techie. This means we communicate, learn and work via our phone (85% on average), then laptops and tablets.
My dinosaur generation (40’s and 50’s) want to fight this change, so we don’t adapt and complain. Ironically, these millennials are called up to take on techie jobs that every company needs. So, in my opinion, these millennials have adapted to our technology and will win.
Let’s see which generation is correct in a few years.
Have kids who are in sports (or an athlete yourself) it is important to maintain confidence to self-confidence.
Derek has learned and seen results understanding an individual’s mindset to keep them positive when an athlete’s performance starts to drop. This short clip explains how he has worked with baseball pitchers. This would work with any child teenager, especially when they love playing the sport.
Understand that being an athlete or a person who want to stay healthy takes a positive mindset to maintain a routine to see the results (sometime 4-6 weeks). Then the results can keep you motivated. So enjoying the work as an athlete or being a normal human. Then enjoy the results!

Your body is a great machine that requires movement to stay healthy. Chiropractors has been a successful profession because we improve people’s spinal joint motion.
In the United States, we use our brain too much. We have minimized our need to exercise. This has caused us to spend most of the day sitting. This lack of motion without exercise causes tightness in your joints and muscles and changes our posture.
When staying in a poor posture for a long time our body will cause our body to go into a stressed state: back/neck pain, tiredness, less sleep, etc.
Chiropractic adjustments improve spinal motion, posture and your health. Then adding stretches and exercises keeps you healthy to tolerate the stress of our amount of sitting.

Our body has nerves, chemicals and hormones that keep a healthy body in a relaxed or stressed state. The balance can be thrown off through trauma, injury, constant stress from our environment or poor food choices.
Have the imbalance for a short term, the body can handle. Long term the body will adapt to the stress by changing your nerves to become irritated, and change your chemical and hormonal levels to make you feel “normal”.
This adaptation can cause anxiety, high blood pressure, constant pain, less sleep, chronic tiredness, weight gain and other health conditions.
Finding ways to relax your body can return nerve, chemistry and hormone balance to heal your body. Self-therapy can be stretching, exercise, music, massage, and proper eating.
Women can be attacked anytime, any place; physically or verbally. Over a period of weeks and months, training will help a ladies health alone will improve to minimize any anxiety caused if confronted in a situation.
